FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Practical answers to the questions African buyers ask us most often.

What is the minimum budget to start a brick factory with a QT4-40?
A QT4-40 machine, basic moulds, a small mixer, and a generator fit in a 20 GP container and can start a working brick factory for around USD 3,000 – 5,000. Many of our customers in Nigeria and Ghana started at this level.
Can the QT4-40 produce both hollow and solid blocks?
Yes. The QT4-40 and QT4-40A accept interchangeable moulds for hollow, solid, hourdis, sandcrete, and interlocking paver blocks. Moulds are sold separately and can be swapped in 10 minutes.
How many operators does the QT4-18 fully automatic line need?
Two to three people: one PLC operator, one quality controller, one forklift / pallet stacker assistant. This is one of the main reasons our customers upgrade from the QT4-40A to the QT4-18 — labour cost savings.
What is the difference between a hydraulic press and a vibration machine?
A vibration machine (QT4-40 / QT4-40A) compacts the block by shaking — fast, low cost, ideal for sandcrete and hollow blocks. A hydraulic press (QT4-18) applies static pressure on top of vibration — produces denser, sharper-edged blocks suitable for pavers, curbstones, and high-strength applications. Hydraulic is also better for fly ash brick production.
What power supply do I need on site?
All three models run on 380V / 50Hz three-phase power, which is standard in most African industrial zones. If you only have single-phase or generator power, we can supply a VFD (variable frequency drive) at additional cost. We also ship the QT4-40 in a "no-plc" version that can run on a 15 kVA generator.
How is the machine packed for sea freight to Africa?
Every machine is fully pre-assembled, tested, then welded onto a steel frame inside the container. Critical parts are wrapped in anti-rust film. The QT4-40 and QT4-40A fit in a 20 GP container with moulds; the QT4-18 line needs a 40 HQ container with the mixer and stacker.
Do you provide installation and training in Africa?
For QT4-40 and QT4-40A orders, we provide detailed video installation guides and live WhatsApp support. For QT4-18 orders, we offer optional on-site commissioning by our engineers (flight + accommodation paid by buyer, our engineer at no extra charge).
What payment terms do you accept?
30% T/T deposit upon order confirmation, 70% balance against B/L copy. For repeat customers, we can discuss L/C at sight or extended terms. We can also arrange CIF or FOB quotes to Lagos, Tema, Mombasa, Dar es Salaam and Durban.
What is the warranty period?
12 months on main components (vibration motors, hydraulic system, PLC) from the date of B/L. Wear parts (mould plates, seals) are not covered but available at cost price throughout the machine's lifetime.
